Tungsten carbide roller ring (also known as tungsten carbide roller) refers to a roller made of tungsten carbide and cobalt through powder metallurgy. Tungsten carbide rolls are available in two forms: unibody and combined. They have excellent performance, stable quality, high machining accuracy, good wear resistance and high impact resistance.
Tungsten carbide roller can be divided into solid carbide roller and composite carbide roller according to the structure. Solid carbide rolls have been widely used in pre-finishing and finishing frames of high speed wire rolling mills (including fixed reducer frames, pinch roll frames).
The hardness of tungsten carbide roller is high, and its hardness changes little with temperature. The hardness at 700°C is 4 times that of high-speed steel; The modulus of elasticity, compressive strength, bending strength and thermal conductivity are also more than 1 times higher than tool steel.
Due to the high thermal conductivity of the carbide roll, the heat dissipation effect is good, and the roll surface is at high temperature for a short time, so the high temperature reaction time between the roll and harmful substances is short. The impurities in the cooling water are very short. Therefore, carbide rolls are more resistant to corrosion and thermal fatigue than tool steel rolls.
